We’re back in Kampala

Now we are started here in Kampala. Monday night was our first meeting in this city. It is a Metropolian City and a bustling life here. There are shoping stands everywhere and it smells like fried chicken, fish and other smells of all kinds; everywhere. In such busy zones it is like driving in the middle of a pedestrian. It swarms around us with people all over the place.

We live at a guesthouse again, and in the night the power went off. It became a muggy existence, so we got trouble sleeping. Here we are under a mosquito net and hear the torpedoes whiz around the netting, but they can not come through to us. The mosquito marks are now just about gone. We have learned to protect ourselves with such nets eventually. In the morning we had a cold shower, quite refreshing after a muggy night. It is now afternoon and the power is not yet coming back.

The plan for the meetings are now told us, and it remains a delightful hectic time in and around Kampala. In our first meeting yesterday we took a message on the resurrection and its various phases.

The details of this aspect of God’s word has not been given the greates attention, so therefore is many superlatives and positive comments on the preaching. It builds up to an eventful week. Bro. Leo from Mityana keep in touch all the time and will likely come to Kampala at the end of the week. There are strong spiritual ties that increases the value of the journey. If we want to increase the intensity of being with our friends, then we will be having to travel around all year. There are so many that could be reached, and so much that could be said on this spiritual battlefield.

Bro. Matimba, from Zimbabwe sends messages all the time. He never let go of our stay here in Africa. Now he wants to come to Durban and attend meetings with bro. Blake Govender. He plans to travel by bus already, since it is nearly 2000 kilometers between Harare and Durban.

There are requests for meetings in South Africa; long beyond the capacity we have in the week we’ll be there. Well that’s a luxury problem. We could of course have been there without us been invited to a single place.

I am grateful for the anointing and the underestanding the Lord has given us in the word. When the speech begins, the pictures come flowing and i am forgetting completely the time. I am glad that it is not I who will speak, but the Lord takes over and fills the hearts of those who desires to receive what He sees they need.

Here in Uganda it is now the rainy season. That means it can rain at any time. The days are still nice and warm. We’re in the middle of the equator line. When we take that into consideration, it is not as hot as one could imagine. It is perhaps in the fact that we are in a highland area. Had we been down by the sea, then we had probably felt temperature more oppressive.

The guest house where we live, is a walled gated community. It is like a lagoon in a frenzy of dust and throngs of people. In this way we can find some rest and peace between the services.

Internet is so unstable here that I bought a local simcard and arranged with mobile network, in order to have contact with the outside world. Since we travel between several countries, there will be a new SIM card in each country. My phone is thus not available with my Norwegian number. Graces phone is still intact, so we can be reached there. But we can always be reached via email and Facebook. God bless you all. Remember us still in your prayers. Together we will win over the forces that want to tear this world apart. God is still in control of all things. All is well.
