Back In Davao Again

We’re back in Davao after an eventful trip in the mountains of Bukidnong. On Saturday we traveled further from Don Carlos to a City called Malaybalay, where there is a believing brother who several years ago started a spiritual work under humble conditions. Now, this spiritual and natural business has grown and he currently has a farm with about 80.000 chickens and about 6.000 pigs. He has put it all in the Lord’s hands, and the surplus goes to run a Bible school and otherwise spiritual activities. He is now 77 years, and is in full operation for the Lord. Today, on Sunday I was given the pulpit and got the opportunity to speak to the students and all the others who comes on a Sunday meeting. I concentrated on the Angel of the Lord who has been traveling around the earth; with the Zeal of the living God. It was not an usual subject for the people, but it was an intense attention during the preaching.

People commented on the whole very positive, and were quick to say that we had to come back soon on another occasion. The journey back to Davao was nearly 7 hours. Not that it is so terribly many miles, but the roads here are winding and narrow and the traffic is constantly clogged. This spiritual work has for many years been sheltered by the organization United Pentecost but recently our brother has chosen leave this system. Now he’s working on a free basis. They had a big convention hall so they could have major events here.

Now we will be leaving for Manila on Tuesday. It almost feels like you just skim the cream during the activities we are involved in. One could have sat down and taught for a longer time among our friends, but we hope that the message is so salty that they will thirst for more when the time leads to another opportunity..

Since we have a strong desire from our friends in Taiwan, I have checked the itinerary of any postponement of the flight from Hong Kong to Norway on May 22. It has now been settled. We will then travel to Hong Kong according to the program, but we are taking a detour to Taiwan for the next 10 days. Returning home will then be on June 2 and we’ll be home late that evening.

We are now halfway through the meetings here in the Philippines. The voice keeps well and meetings are rewarding. I am absolutely forget time and place during the preaching, and one does not notice the sweat and heat from my body before I say amen. then I realizes that we are in warmer zones. I Hope the snow has now released its grip at home, and that you all have some great days ahead, both temporal and spiritual. God bless you all.
