 Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord. Greetings to you again, and thanks for your prayers. We can surly say that the Lord is good, and that He is leading his people in mysterious and marvellous ways. As I have mentioned before, we got a travel packet this time; by the airline, that were changeable. When we came back to Manila, from Sydney, we had already prolonged our stay with two more weeks. That made us able to have some more meetings in Marikina, just outside the big city of Manila, and then later on, a city in the South part of the Philippines, called Davao. We were down in Davao for the first time in 2001, on our trip around the world. Later we also went down there another time for some more meetings. This time we had not considered any meetings in Davao, or any other place on our schedule, but when we heard about the longing for more meetings down there, we felt led to include these meetings as well.
Bro. Nestor, the pastor of Marikina, told about a dream he had some time ago. In the dream he saw us coming to Marikina, and also to other churches both in the North and the in South of the Philippines. To him, this was the fulfilling of this dream, to se us ministering in his Church this weekend. Another brother from the North, from Sagada; that we communicated with over the internet when we were in Sydney, Came all the way down to Marikina to be with us. He mentioned that the ministering of the Word in these meetings was directed all to him.
The hall was a small garage, and it was filled up from the first night. More people had announced their appearance during the weekend, so they decided to find another place of worship for the Sunday services. They choose the roof top of an apartment building. It served the purpose, and we had an open door meeting on the roof top that day.
On Sunday morning during the preaching, the Spirit came down in a very special way. I could not minister any more, because of the strong presence of the Lord. Then there was a prophecy. It was almost like it was a mist like a cloud coming down over the people. Off course it was invisible. Nothing could be seen. But the presence of the Lord was there stronger than ever. The people started to pray and was crying. Many came right up to the front for prayer. The presence of the Lord was so strong that hardly any could keep standing on their feet, when they were prayed for. I believe many got their answer that morning. It was an all day feast around the Word of God.
After these meetings we started on our trip down to Davao. The meetings there was from Wednesday through Sunday April 16 – 20. The pastor of this Church had also had a dream about us coming down, but he just did not know when. Specially when he heard that we had no plans coming down this time. But when the change was told to him, he got very happy, and the whole congregation were rejoicing over this opportunity. We were 12 people coming flying down from Manila and Angeles; to Davao.
The subject during the meetings; was on ”The build up to the Regeneration.” It is a message on how we are closing in on the coming of the new Heavens and the new Earth. Many a positive comment was made among the people, and the enthusiasm was growing day by day. When the meetings came close to the end, some were saying that they wished there could be some more meetings. They were hoping that our trip was not over yet. A brother in Davao had a dream some time ago, when he saw himself up in the North part of the Philippines. He had never been there before, but he saw people there having Church and playing instruments. Bro. Jun had been thinking of the people in the North for some time, and he made a phone call to check on the desire among the people there. I told bro. Jun that I could check on the airline if there was an opening for an other prolonged stay. The Airline told me that the first available flight out of Manila for us now, would be on May 8. Then we had to go to the immigration office in Davao; to ask for an extended visa. Everything was happening so fast; within a few hours on Monday, before we was to start our trip back up to Manila.
The Brother who had come all the way from Sagada to Marikina the other week, got so enthused that he desired to have some meetings in his Church, if we could make it. One thing after the other was laid out before us; within a few hours, and suddenly another two weeks of meetings were in the making. Some of the People in Davao got so enthused that they wanted to make the trip up all the way to the North. Bro. Jun told that five of them are coming, also the one who have had the dream about the meetings in the North. They will also be here in Angeles for this coming weekend. Bro. Jun is really using every opportunity to have some more services, so now we will start up in Angeles again with a new “mini” convention; from Thursday through Sunday, with nightly services.
I am amazed at the eager and drive in the people, and you can see the joy increasing day by day as we are progressing in this trip. I felt the Lord gave me a starting point message for Thursday night in Angeles, and then we will see how things will transpire further on.
