Saturday was an active day here in Hong Kong. We started the day by traveling down to Central Park. We should meet Sister Agnes and some others for breakfast down there. We ended up at McDonalds where we got a little quiet place so we could have our conversations and Bible study together. At another table sat a woman and listened to what we had to say, and she came overto our table to listen closer. She was a devout believer og the Gospel, but had problems that she wanted us to help her praying over. Here we ended up praying for these conditions and a wonderful session, before she had to leave to continue her daily chores.

After breakfast, we went to the park and had our small outdoor meeting with teaching and some akapella songs. It is not allowed to use instruments in this park, but singing and teaching can no one forbid us. After our little meeting in the park we went to an office; not so far away from the park. We were there also last year in the same place. There we continued with singing and further Bible lessons. A very helpful session for those who are hungry for more of God’s word. The rest of the day went by during these moments. We returned to the hotel around 21:00.
Internet is a bit limited here, so we can not use all the equipment we have with us. I went down to lobby to update the things I could not get done in my room. As I sat there, a gentleman came over and greeted me and wondered where I came from. I said I was a missionary from Norway, (if possible,) to lead the conversation to a more spiritual side. He surprised me by saying that he was from Haugesund in Norway and was also a believer. He was a cheerful type and was acompanied with a Korean believer; who also greeted me.

They asked me to tell a little out of my spiritual journey and the reason for my stay here in Hong Kong. It led me into my salvation experience and the calling of the route had led me also to this place. These experiences touched specially the Korean brother and I could see he got a marvelous touch by the Lord. They wondered if I knew of any church that they could go to on Sunday, because they wanted to be in a fellowship to worship the Lord. Well I said I was going to have a smaller meeting at my hotel room, so if they were interested it they were welcom to join.
So it will be interesting to see if they get the opportunity to be with us. It was pretty special to meet a believing Norwegian in Hong Kong, with such a longing for communion and spiritual edification. Perhaps it will be quite full in our room this time. I rejoice in any case of all opportunities to be with believers for the edification of the body of Christ; far beyond borders and nations and races, yes also to meet with Norwegian friends abroad. Remember us in prayer. God is good!
