Early sunday morning in Lusaka

It’s early Sunday morning here in Lusaka. After the meetings in Mumbwa, we headed for our last group of friends here in Zambia for now. At the meetings in Harare last year there was a preacher who spoke on the topic “The way of the tree of Life.” His name is Andrew Phiri from Lusaka. It was obvious that he knew of The Contender and the proclamation that Bro. Jackson has stood for in this message. He preached a great topic of the Tree of Life. I rejoiced in his exposition. Today we are gathered with him and his church here in this city. They hold meetings in a classroom in a school here. Bro. Phiri himself is a teacher by profession, married and have a son. The wife’s name is Nora and is expecting again.

We are staying at a guest house in typical African style. In the first room there was no hot water so we were replaced over to another house and here we have the essentials amenities. Yesterday we had a full day meeting gathering. I preached a life story in a kind of testimony and explained how I felt the Lord had led me to the kind of preaching I have, and the revelation I have received from the word of God. It was very well received and we were greeted with a warm welcome. After a pause with some food, we continued in the afternoon and I followed up with how faith works in practice, when the Lord speaks to us. There were several stories about the experiences the Lord has given us, to set a standard for how the practical spiritual life can bless us all. We are not just sitting and listening to a preaching, but may be headed into a spiritual path that will enable us all to be led by the Lord in the same way.

Bro. Phiri is a very positive brother, and the group is generally of the same practice. There is a positive charge in the entire atmosphere, and we rejoice with our friends. Today we are having a new session on the same line as yesterday. It is wonderful to be part of such an oportunity. The doors are wide open, the longing for more meetings and extended stays come constantly up as a topic of conversation.

I also received emails about more meetings in South Africa. The week we will have there, in Uganda, can be quite packed, so we’ll add it to our schedule and see what can be done. Bro. Matime from Simbabwe also want to travel to South Africa and meet us there to attend more meetings. He has made several proposals for a plan out over what we already have with bro. Blake Govender. I realized that in many ways this journey would be special, but it far exceeds what I had expected. The hospitality and sincerity with the friends we have met have been exciting.

Tomorrow we head for Uganda. The next two weeks there will probably be just as busy as those who have gone. I’ve had some choughing but it is better now. There is pretty much use of the voice, and one can just make sure you do not overdo the use.

I look at our website, that Thomas has now made an English version that can be easy for people to get in, so now they can get to hear also the services in that language. There are a number of friends here; that before have not been able to download the meetings, so they gave up to find out about it. But now it looks like it works fine. I have given away memory sticks and memory cards for those who have asked for more meetings from the archives, that I have on my computer. I try to remember to record the meetings all the time. In this way, people can hear about the topics again, if they did not get it while they sat there and listened to the preaching. Home in Verdal you know my preaching, but that is not the case in other places. Remember us still in your prayers. We are healthy and of good courage.

All is well with us. God bless.
