Service at Redstone factory

We have come to Saturday and can reflect a little on what has happened through the last part of the week. Yesterday we went to the Redstone factory, which was on our next program. The trip there takes about two to three hours, plus the return back to Angeles. The road to Manila is busy and in the city the cars are packed. On the main highway we also witness accidents that slows the traffic down considerably. One of our dear brothers from Ifugao ended up in a tragic traffic accident a few days ago. He was overtaken by a motorcycle that came and turned suddenly in right in front of him. The bike wobbled so the passenger who sat behind on the bike lost his balance and fell off. He tumbled off right in front of our friend’s car. He had no chance to stop in time, so the man came under the car and was killed.

There are many accidents on the road and we never know what awaits us. Yet we travel on thousands of miles and just keep on going

It was a very tragic experience for our friend. He was put in jail for the next 24 hours, until they could clarify the incident. He had witnesses who saw it all. However, he was bailed out and released the next day. Remember him, and also the family who was affected by the accident in such a tragic way. There are many accidents on the road, so we never know what awaits us. Yet we travel on, thousands of miles; and just keep on going. But when such things occur, then we stop for a moment to think about how fragile life really is.

We arrived at the Redstone factory without any other incidents. Workers at the factory end their day at five o’clock, and that’s when we start up our meeting. There are also a few other friends attending from the Manila district. Bro. Judah Ben and two other young brothers were with us from Angeles. They rigged up the music system and projectors, so that everyone can participate in singing and worship. In this meeting, I took up the topic in 1. Kor. 13. Love is a state of quality and this chapter mentions around 14 quality statements. In a way it measures the temperature in our approach to the many challenges we face in life. It is good to take a check on our attitude and perseverance, if we really possess the qualities that Scripture encourages us to embrace. 1. Kor. 13 is a good measure in this area.

God bless you all.
